Note: Original enlistment was October 9, 1839 in Philadelphia.  He was 28.  He stood  5’5” with blue eyes, light hair, and light complexion.  He was discharged on October 9, 1844 at Fort Jesup, Louisiana for expiration of service and held the rank of private.
