Note: Original enlistment was January 8, 1880, New York, New York into C Trp, 2d Cavalry.  He was 21.  He was discharged on January 7, 1885 in Fort Bidwell, California for expiration of service and held the rank of sergeant.

He stood 5’10½” with grey eyes, dark hair, and fair complexion.
