Note: Original enlistment was October 5, 1852, Baltimore in Newark, New Jersey in B and K Co, 2d Dragoons.  He was 30. He was discharged September 25, 1857 at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas Territory and held the rank of private.

2nd enlistment was September 25, 1857 in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas Territory  in D Co, 2d Dragoons. He was discharged September 25, 1862, camp near Sharpsburg, Maryland for expiration of service and held the rank of private.

He stood 5’6¼” with blue eyes, brown hair, and ruddy complexion.
