Note: Original enlistment was May 7, 1898 in Louisville, Kentucky into K Trp, 2d Cavalry.  He was 21 yrs 1 mos.  He was discharged on January 26, 1899 at Camp A. G. Forse, Alabama and held the rank of private.

Second enlistment was July 7, 1899 in Hazelton, Pennsylvania into I Trp, 8th Cavalry.  He was 22 yrs 3 mos.  He was discharged on July 6, 1902 at Fort Riley, Kansas for expiration of service and held the rank of private.

He stood 5’6″ with blue eyes, dark brown hair, and fair complexion.
