Note: Original enlistment was December 23, 1901 in Haverhill, Massachusetts into 79th Coastal Artillery.  He was 21 yrs.  He was discharged on December 27, 1904 at Fort Adams, Rhode Island for expiration of service and held the rank of private.

He stood 5’5½” with brown eyes, dark brown hair, and dark complexion.
