Note: Original enlistment was September 5, 1878, in Columbus, Ohio into K Co, 7th Infantry.  He was 16.  He was discharged on September 4, 1883 at a camp north of Laramie Peak, Wyoming for expiration of service and held the rank of private.

Second enlistment was February 3, 1885 in Detroit, Michigan into G Co and Band, 23rd Infantry.  He was 22 yrs 8 mos.  He was discharged on February 4, 1890 at Fort Wayne, Michigan for expiration of service and held the rank of private.

Third enlistment was February 5, 1890 in Fort Wayne, Michigan into G Co and Band, 23rd Infantry.  He was 27 yrs 8 mos.  He was discharged on February 4, 1895 at Fort Clark, Texas for expiration of service and held the rank of artificer.

Fourth enlistment was February 12, 1895, Fort Clark, Texas into Band, 18th Infantry.  He was 32 yrs 8 mos.  He was discharged on February 11, 1898, Fort Bliss, Texas for expiration of service and held the rank of private.

He stood 5’11¼” with blue eyes, light brown hair, and fair complexion.
