Note: Original enlistment was May 11, 1898 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania  into C, 2d Cavalry.  He was 23 yrs 4 mos. He was discharged on January 23, 1899 in Huntsville, Alabama and held the rank of private.

Second enlistment was February 17, 1899 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania  into C, 2d Cavalry.  He was 24 yrs 1 mos. He was discharged on February 16, 1902 in Matanzas, Cuba expiration of service and held the rank of corporal.

He stood 5’11” with blue eyes, light brown hair, and fair complexion.
