Note: He stood 5’9” with blue eyes, brown hair, and fair complexion.
2nd enlistment was January 15, 1866 at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas into Company I, 2d Cavalry. He was 31. He was discharged January 15, 1869 at Fort McPherson, Nebraska for expiration of service and the rank of sergeant.
3rd enlistment was June 17, 1869 at Omaha Barracks, Nebraska into Company I, 2d Cavalry. He was 31. He was discharged June 17, 1874 at Fort Hays, Kansas for expiration of service and the rank of sergeant.
There is a discrepancy with his age between the second and third enlistments. It appears he didn’t age for three and a half years.
