Note: Original enlistment was September 9, 1837 in F Co, 2d Dragoons in Utica, New York. He was discharged September 6, 1840 at Fort Heilman, Florida for expiration of service and held the rank of private.  He stood 6’2” with grey eyes, light hair, and fair complexion.

2nd enlistment was October 28, 1840 in F and B Co, 2d Dragoons at Fort Heileman, Florida.  He was discharged October 28, 1845 at Fort Jesup, Louisiana for expiration of service and held the rank of private.
