Note: Original enlistment was March 4, 1901 in Asheville, North Carolina into F and I Trp, 14th Cavalry.  He was 21 yrs 4 mos. He was discharged on March 11, 1903 at Fort Grant, Arizona Territory and held the rank of wagoner.

Second enlistment was March 12, 1903, Fort Grant, Arizona Territory into I Trp, 14th Cavalry.  He was 23 yrs 4 mos. He was discharged on March 11, 1906 at Presidio (San Francisco), California for expiration of service and held the rank of sergeant.

Third enlistment was March 16, 1906 atFort Clark, Texas into G Trp, 2d Cavalry.  He was 26 yrs 5 mos. He was discharged on March 15, 1909 at Fort Des Moines, Iowa for expiration of service and held the rank of sergeant.

He stood 5’6¼” with blue eyes, brown hair, and ruddy complexion.
